JERUSALEM (JWN)—Six settlers and three policemen were injured late Wednesday night when residents clashed with security forces sent to demolish the illegal Yissa Bracha outpost near Mitzpe Yericho in the West Bank.
In conflicting accounts, settlers said they were attacked with tear gas while peacefully protesting against the demolition, while police said settlers greeted them by throwing stones, burning tires, and pouring oil on the road.
The three officers and six settlers were slightly injured when the officers were trying to remove a settler from the roof of a house about to be demolished and the roof collapsed.
