JERUSALEM (JWN and agencies)—Hezbollah’s next war with Israel will begin in the streets of Tel Aviv, and not the northern border, terrorist chieftain Hassan Nasrallah warned today.

“If Israel decides to wage a war against Lebanon, we will not only break the Israeli soldiers’ bones, we will smash them,” the Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper quoted him as telling a meeting with Hezbollah members.

The terrorist strongman hinted at both an abandonment of constraints and possible new weaponry that would change the power equation between Hezbollah and the Israel Defense Forces.

“The war would be waged without any red lines, and [Hezbollah] would in return commit to the new equations,” Nasrallah said.

““[Hezbollah] has many surprises that will change the face of the region,” he added.

The paper reported that Nasrallah also mentioned recent news that foreign spies had infiltrated Hezbollah and passed on information to the CIA and the Mossad. He asserted that Hezbollah would be able investigate itself and repair the harm that several traitors had apparently caused the organization.

“Hezbollah has the courage necessary to fix mistakes,” he said.

Last month Hezbollah arrested four of its members

for spying for Israel, while a fifth escaped, the London-based daily Asharq Alawsat reported.

Quoting “well-informed Lebanese sources,” the paper said the fifth man had disappeared from his home in Beirut last week. He is said to have testified before the UN Special Tribunal on the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri—a murder attributed to Hezbollah.
