Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel welcomed UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs James Cleverly to the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem.
During their meeting, several significant topics were discussed, including shared concerns about Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the need to counter Iran’s destabilizing activities in the region, and the prospects for enhanced collaboration between the two nations in various fields, notably artificial intelligence.
Prime Minister Netanyahu highlighted the paramount importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He stressed that this is not only a regional concern but also a global one, as Iran’s nuclearization poses a significant threat to both regional and global stability. The Prime Minister underscored the urgency of thwarting Iran’s ongoing efforts to undermine peace and security worldwide.
In addition to addressing security matters, the leaders explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various domains, including security, technology, and the economy. Of particular interest was the prospect of advancing joint endeavors in the field of artificial intelligence, an area of growing importance and innovation.

Also in attendance were the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary and the respective ambassadors of Israel and the United Kingdom.
