Netanyahu travels to US, meets with Elon Musk ahead of New York meetings

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, visited the Tesla Motors facility located in Fremont, California, alongside Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

During their visit, they received briefings from Musk regarding the company’s latest developments and various electric vehicle models. They also had the opportunity to observe the production and assembly process for advanced electric vehicles.

“It took us maybe a century to adapt to the industrial revolution. We may have just about a few years, and then we’re running out as we speak, to adapt to the AI revolution,” Netanyahu said during his meeting with Musk.

“The first thing you can do is get like-minded states to agree on a code of ethics and a code of conduct and that’s pretty easy. We can do it among our countries, in our countries and between our countries. We can cooperate to ensure the blessings and curb the curses as much as we can. We do that in civil aviation; we do it in other things, too,” he added. “I appreciate the opportunity to pick your brain on something that is so important for the future of my country and the future of the world.”

Furthermore, Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife, joined by Elon Musk, had the unique experience of riding in the yet-to-be-released ‘Cybertruck’ vehicle, which is not currently available on the market.

Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, arrived in New York early Tuesday, where they received a warm welcome from Israeli Ambassador to the US Mike Herzog and Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan. Their visit is part of a diplomatic mission during which they will engage with several world leaders.

Scheduled for today, Prime Minister Netanyahu has meetings lined up with prominent international figures, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Paraguayan President Santiago Peña. These discussions are expected to cover a range of crucial topics and ongoing global issues.

The visit underscores Israel’s commitment to international diplomacy and cooperation while providing a platform for meaningful dialogues with key leaders on matters of shared interest and concern.
