Israeli leaders have pledged a strong response following the Iranian regime’s launch of about 190 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday evening, which forced millions of Israelis into bomb shelters for approximately one hour.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu characterized the attack as a significant error on Iran’s part, asserting that Tehran would face serious repercussions for its actions. During a Security Cabinet meeting, he emphasized Israel’s unwavering resolve to defend itself and retaliate against its adversaries, highlighting a firm stance against any threats from regional actors.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant echoed this sentiment, stating that Iran had not grasped the consequences of attacking Israel. He noted that he had been closely monitoring the IDF’s successful defense from the military’s command center during the missile assault, expressing confidence in the military’s capabilities.

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Daniel Hagari labeled the attack a severe escalation, affirming that Israel’s military readiness is at its peak. He underscored that Israel would respond decisively according to government directives, warning that there would be significant consequences for Iran’s actions.

Political leaders across Israel’s spectrum, including opposition figures, called for a robust reaction to Iran. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett highlighted the opportunity presented by the Iranian attack to target its nuclear program, urging immediate action to undermine Iran’s capabilities.
