IDF strikes take out three Hezbollah commanders, 70 terrorists

In the past two days, Israeli air force strikes in Lebanon killed the Hezbollah commanders of the Jibchit, Jouaiya, and Qana sectors, according to the IDF.

These commanders were believed to have overseen numerous attacks on Israeli civilians, including rocket and anti-tank missile strikes on northern communities. The military’s actions reflect a broader strategy to weaken Hezbollah’s operational capabilities and deter further aggression.

On Monday, the IAF also eliminated Khalil Mohammad Amhaz, a terrorist operative in Hezbollah’s Aerial Unit. The IDF stated that Amhaz was responsible for developing and launching explosive and reconnaissance drones into Israel. Since Tuesday morning, around 70 terrorists have been neutralized through ground encounters and aerial strikes in ongoing targeted operations against Hezbollah infrastructure and operatives.

Approximately 20 of these individuals were considered an immediate threat to IDF forces and were neutralized by air and ground troops from the 36th Division.

Israeli forces have captured dozens of terrorists while facilitating civilian evacuations along humanitarian routes. During these operations, troops uncovered and destroyed underground terror infrastructure and weapons caches, including rockets, anti-tank missile launchers, mortars, and various munitions. The military emphasized its commitment to dismantling the operational capabilities of terrorist organizations while striving to minimize collateral damage.

Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, the IDF reported ongoing operations in the Jabalya area, where Israeli troops killed terrorists and located weapons. In one incident, an Israeli aircraft struck a group of armed individuals, resulting in secondary explosions that suggested the presence of significant weapon stockpiles. This pattern of strikes highlights the IDF’s focus on identifying and targeting key terrorist figures and their supply lines.

These developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing confrontations influencing military strategies and humanitarian considerations.

The Israeli military aims to dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities while balancing the need to minimize civilian casualties and facilitate humanitarian aid efforts in affected areas. Additionally, the IDF continues to coordinate with international agencies to ensure that aid reaches civilians in conflict zones while maintaining security protocols.
