IDF spokesman reveals the scale of Iran’s recent attack against Israel

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari held a press conference Sunday discussing the Iranian attack on Israel and the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

“Last night, Israel and its international partners successfully thwarted a significant attack from Iran,” Hagari began.

“Iran and its proxies launched around 350 suicide drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles and rockets from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, and Hezbollah in Lebanon toward Israel, carrying approximately 60 tons of warheads and explosive materials. However, the threat from Iran was met with the aerial, operational, technological, and intelligence superiority of a united defensive coalition of international allies led by the United States, along with Great Britain, France, and other partners. Together, we intercepted 99% of the threats toward Israel and successfully halted Iran’s attack. This marked the first instance of such a coalition working collectively against the threat of Iran and its proxies in the Middle East,” he noted.

Regarding the conflict in Gaza, Hagari stated: “Even amidst the Iranian attack, we remain committed to our critical mission in Gaza to rescue our hostages from the grip of Iran’s proxies, Hamas, and our moral obligation to bring back 133 hostages safely. Hamas recently rejected the hostage release proposal presented by mediators. Both Hamas and Iran seek to inflame tensions in the Middle East and escalate the situation. We remain on high alert and continue to assess the situation.”

According to the spokesman: “In the past hours, we have approved plans for both offensive and defensive actions. We will persist in safeguarding the State of Israel, and in collaboration with our partners, we will work toward building a more secure and stable future for the entire Middle East.”
