Six people were injured Wednesday afternoon in Arab al-Aramshe, a Bedouin town in Western Galilee, due to a direct hit from a Hezbollah attack.
Magen David Adom (MDA) medics, along with an IDF medical unit, initially treated the six injured men, all in their 30s. Victims of the Hezbollah attack were transported to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, where one was in serious condition, one in moderate condition, and the other four were treated for minor injuries.
About an hour after the attack, MDA reported that 13 people were injured as a result, with only four being moderately or seriously wounded. There was no update on the condition of those seriously or moderately wounded at the time of publication.
This is not the first time a Bedouin community has come under fire since the start of the Oct. 7 conflict. Over the past six months, following Hamas attacks and subsequent involvement by Hezbollah forces, residents of the Western Galilee region, which includes many Arab towns and communities, have faced repeated fire from the Iranian-backed terror group in Lebanon.
Preliminary reports suggested a vehicle was targeted in the attack that injured the six men. Shortly after reports of the initial strike, emergency air raid sirens sounded in the area again. Residents reported that Hezbollah fired a second time as emergency personnel arrived to treat the wounded.
According to Reuters, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it launched drones toward Arab al-Aramshe in response to the IDF’s targeting of two senior Hezbollah officials on Tuesday.
Residents near the northern border reported Israeli strikes near the town of Ita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon. Shortly after, the IDF reported Israel Air Force fighter jets struck a military building near Ita al-Shaab, where Hezbollah terrorists were staying.
The IDF announced that several launches were identified crossing from Lebanese territory toward the area of Arab al-Aramshe, and the IDF struck the sources of fire.
On Tuesday, two UAVs fell in Beit Hillel without activating siren alarms. Two crashes were also detected on Tuesday near Kiryat Shmona.
