Lapid critiques American withdrawal from Afghanistan
September 3, 2021 — Foreign Minister Yair Lapid offered the first public Israeli criticism of US President Joe Biden’s Afghanistan departure, calling it the “right decision” but not “in the right manner.” “It was probably the right decision that wasn’t performed in the right manner and yet I suggest everyone listen to President (Joe) Biden’s last speech about the necessity of the move itself,” Lapid told reporters.
Israel opposes US reopening consulate in Jerusalem for Palestinians
September 2, 2021 — The ongoing dispute over the consulate in Jerusalem may take multiple twists and turns as long as both Biden and Bennett remain in leadership. In contrast with the strong working relationship between Trump and former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden and Bennett have only recently held their first in-person meeting in Washington.
COVID surge concerns Israel -- especially as schools reopen
September 1, 2021 — Nearly 11,000 new coronavirus cases were reported on Monday, drawing concern as the nation prepares to begin the new school year. “At least 10,947 new virus carriers were identified on Monday, with 7.65% of people tested returning a positive test,” The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.

August 30, 2021 — I love what I'm writing to you about something extremely important -- the amazing growth of the prayer movement globally. Today we have Jerusalem Prayer Team members all over the world. Shockingly, we have more than 10 million in Muslim countries. But I want to talk to you about something that's really burdening me, and I'm sure it will concern you. We have 621,206 Jerusalem Prayer Team members in Afghanistan. Yes, I want to say that again: in Afghanistan. How is that possible? Afghanistan is a Muslim country.
