Two terrorists freed in Schalit swap rearrested for terrorism

JERUSALEM (JWN and agencies)–The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) on Tuesday announced the rearrests of two Palestinian terrorists who had been freed in the trade for kidnapped IDF solder Gilad Schalit last year.

Hamas agent Omar Abu Snina, who was released to the Gaza Strip in the trade of more than 1,000 Palestinian security prisoners last October, was arrested for planning terrorist acts and trying to recruit West Bank Palestinians into Hamas.

The Shin Bet statement said that it had seized a flash drive Abu Snina had sent to family members in the West Bank which included detailed instructions on kidnapping soldiers, obtaining weapons, and setting up a terrorist cell.

Daoud Hilo, 22, of the Amari refugee camp near Ramallah, was arrested for illegally buying weapons. He was convicted in March and sentenced to four more years in prison.
