Gaza terrorists fire four more rockets into southern Israel

JERUSALEM (JWN)—Palestinian terrorists continued to violate the fragile cease-fire brokered by Egypt earlier in the week, firing four more Grad rockets at civilian targets in southern Israel on Thursday.

One rocket fired at the Ashkelon Coast Council area and one fired at the Eshkol Regional Council area struck in open fields. The Iron Dome rocket defense system intercepted one Grad before it could hit the city of Ashdod and another fell in an open area. No casualties or damage were reported.

Following the latest attacks, the mayors of Ashdod, Ashkelon, Be’er Sheva, and Gan Yavne announced that their cities’ schools would again be closed on Friday. Despite the assessment of the IDF Home Front Command that “calm” had returned, the mayors said that daily rocket attacks prove that schools remain unsafe for children.
